Keeper. A suitable keeper shall be affixed to the buckle end of the belt strap overlap extending from the buckle.
Suspension “D” Rings. When specified, four “D” rings shall be attacked at appropriate locations for attaching a suspender or belt type supporter.
Total Loops. The tool loops shall be made of leather or neoprene impregnated cloth, riveted to the belt strap. The length shall be adequate for forming four tool loops, with no loops in the center.
Accessories. A tape thong, a glove bag ring and a knife snap shall be attached to the belt strap at points of attachment of the tool loops.
Maintenance Instructions. The manufacturer shall provide instructions for the care of the belt.
Marking. Each body belt shall have a metal marker attached, on which the manufacturer’s name, the month and year of manufacture and the manufacturer’s model number shall be permanently stamped.
Workmanship. Belts shall be free of defects which may affect durability, appearance, or serviceability.
Conformance. Belts shall be approved by a nationally recognized testing laboratory as having been tested in accordance with and meeting the requirements of Title 29, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 1910.268 (g) (2) (1) and (11) and 1926.959, Latest revision on the date of the solicitation. This approval will remain in effect if no material substitutions or changes have been made.
Regulatory Requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practicable.
Preservation, Packaging, Packing, Labeling, and Marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
