2.3 Order of p recedence. In the event of a conflict between the text of
this specification and the references cited herein, the text of this specifica-
tion shall take precedence.
REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Compliance with ANSI Z87.1. Helmets, handshields, and plates shall
comply with the requirements of ANSI 287.1 except as otherwise specified here-
in. The contractor shall certify that this requirement has been met.
